To provide greater convenience to pensioners, the Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund is conducting a special campaign throughout November for the submission of digital life certificates. Under the guidance of Director Smt Padmini Bhoi Sahu, all banks are expediting the process of receiving certificates from pensioners.
Considering the difficulties faced by elderly pensioners in visiting bank branches, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, and the Directorate of Pension and Provident Fund, Chhattisgarh, have enabled submission under the “Digital Life Certificate Mission 4.0”, allowing pensioners to submit their certificates at any bank.
Special camps are being organised in various cities by the State Bank of India and eight other authorised banks, where certificates are being processed through “facial authentication technology”.
Pensioners have also been given the option to submit their digital life certificates from home using their Aadhaar and mobile number through the “Jeevan Pramaan” mobile app or website, ensuring a “simpler and more accessible” process.
According to available data, approximately fifty per cent of the state’s pensioners have already submitted their digital life certificates. The Directorate has appealed to all pensioners to take full advantage of this special November campaign and submit their certificates within the stipulated time.
