Raipur, November 21

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the “Chhattisgarh 25 Saal Bemisaal” programme organised in Raipur on November 21. On this occasion, he reflected on the state’s 25-year-long period of golden development and stated that every citizen has played a crucial role in Chhattisgarh’s progress. The Chief Minister stated that the government is working with “complete commitment” to realise the aspirations of the people.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the double-engine government has taken decisive measures to eliminate Naxalism, which has long hindered development across the state, including the Bastar region. The establishment of security camps has ensured that development reaches even the most remote and far-flung areas. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Minister of Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah, the ongoing efforts have pushed Naxalism towards “its end”, and Bastar—free from fear—will contribute more effectively to the state’s development. He said the world has witnessed Bastar’s culture and talent through events like the Bastar Olympic and Bastar Pandum, marking the beginning of a new era of “peace, prosperity and progress” in the region.

The Chief Minister stated that the government’s policy of “zero tolerance towards corruption” is being implemented with firmness. Strict action has been taken against past irregularities and corruption, and its results are visible to everyone. He stated that the government, led by former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, had taken practical steps to eliminate the curse of hunger by ensuring a grain supply to poor families, and today, houses are being provided to those in need. He added that the government continues to work towards fulfilling the vision of good governance cherished by former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Chief Minister stated that almost all of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled. The “Charan Paduka Yojana” for tendupatta collectors has also been restarted.

Referring to the attractive provisions of the new industrial policy, the Chief Minister stated that investment in the state is steadily increasing. The state government has so far received investment proposals exceeding Rs. 7.75 lakh crore, which will provide new momentum to employment generation and industrial growth in the coming years.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also honoured various institutions and individuals for their contribution to the state’s development. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Chief Minister’s Advisor Shri Pankaj Jha, Chief Minister’s Press Officer Shri Alok Singh, along with a large gathering of intellectuals and distinguished citizens, were present.
