President Murmu Honours Collector Chandan Tripathi for Outstanding Performance in ‘Dharti Aaba’

Korea district of Chhattisgarh has once again established its identity at the national level with its development journey during the ‘National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan’ held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, the country’s capital. In this grand ceremony organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, President Smt. Droupadi Murmu honored Korea District Collector Smt. Chandan Tripathi for her outstanding work in the ‘Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’ (Tribal Village Advancement Campaign). Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Shri Jual Oram and Minister of State Shri Durga Das Uikey were also present on the occasion. Principal Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Government, Shri Sonmani Bora, also received an award from the President for outstanding performance at the state level during the program.
A New Example of Development in 154 Tribal Villages
Under the ‘Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’, approximately 38,000 tribal families in 154 tribal-dominated villages of Korea district—138 in Baikunthpur block and 16 in Sonhat block—have been connected with the benefits of 25 schemes across 17 government departments. Through camps and door-to-door campaigns, beneficiaries were linked to schemes such as Ayushman Card, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Ujjwala, Caste/Residence Certificates, Forest Rights Pattas (titles), Ration Cards, Kisan Credit Card, PM Awas Yojana, Sickle Cell Testing, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and PM Vima Bima Yojana (insurance scheme). Due to its time-bound implementation and innovations at the ground level, this initiative has become a symbol of public participation.

The national recognition of the efforts being made in the tribal areas of Korea district, Chhattisgarh, is a matter of pride for the district. This honor is a symbol of Korea’s achievements in the direction of innovation, public participation, and sustainable development.
Connect Every Tribal Family from Bastar to Surguja with the Mainstream of Development – Shri Sai
Expressing happiness over this achievement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, “This honor recognizes our Karmayogis (dedicated workers) who have realized tribal empowerment on the ground. The state government’s goal is to connect every tribal family from Bastar to Surguja with the mainstream of development and empower them at every level.”

Shri Ramvichar Netam, Minister of Tribal Development and Minister in charge of Korea district in the Chhattisgarh government, stated that this achievement is the result of the hard work of our officers, field staff, and public representatives, who have brought the light of the schemes to the masses despite difficult geographical conditions. He emphasized that delivering the schemes and benefits to the public is indeed good governance.
