State Administrative Service Officers Play a Crucial Role in Resolving Public Issues: CM Sai

Raipur, 25 September
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai met with trainee officers of the State Administrative Service at his official residence in Raipur today. The delegation included 13 officers from the 2024 batch and one officer from the 2021 batch.
During the interaction, Chief Minister Sai stated that State Administrative Service officers are the backbone of governance, playing a vital role in addressing public grievances. He urged the officers to not only serve as administrators but also be responsible citizens concerned with the well-being of society.
“Contribute toward building a better society,” he added, while extending his best wishes for the officers to discharge their official duties efficiently and with dedication.
Mr. T.C. Mahawar, Director of the Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, informed the Chief Minister that the induction course, which began on 7 April 2025, is now concluding. The officers will soon be posted as Deputy Collectors in various districts of the state, where they will gain hands-on experience in the functioning of various government departments.
The Chief Minister also inquired about the training experiences of the officers and said:
“You are fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the people as officers of the State Administrative Service. Not everyone receives this chance. Make the most of it with full dedication and integrity.”
CM Sai emphasized that while governments frame public welfare policies, their implementation rests with administrative officers. He remarked that Chhattisgarh is a resource-rich state, endowed with abundant minerals, forest wealth, fertile land, and a robust power sector. He acknowledged that Naxalism had been a significant hurdle in the state’s development, but now it is in its final phase, thanks to the brave efforts of security forces.
He mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have resolved to eliminate the Naxal problem by 31 March 2026, and expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will develop even faster after this goal is achieved.
“As administrative officers, your responsibilities will increase significantly, especially in uplifting the tribal communities of the state,” he said.
Transparency in governance, CM Sai said, is a top priority. Chhattisgarh is the first state to establish a Department of Good Governance and Convergence, and the e-Office system has also been implemented. The state’s new industrial policy is attracting substantial investments — with investment proposals worth ₹7.5 lakh crore already received.
“You all will have a significant role in making Chhattisgarh a leading state,” he said.
In his concluding remarks, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of revenue-related matters, as they are directly connected to the public.
“Often, even a small initiative by an administrative officer can bring major relief to people,” he said.
He added that the state government is committed to timely resolution of revenue cases, and efforts are being made to digitize and simplify revenue procedures.
On this occasion, Joint Director of the Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, Mr. Pranav Singh, and the trainee officers of the State Administrative Service were also present.
