Raipur, August 28
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today invited South Korean investors to explore opportunities in Chhattisgarh, highlighting the state’s potential during the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect programme held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, in association with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh is fully prepared for global investments and industrial partnerships, backed by its pro-active and development-oriented Industrial Policy 2024–30, abundant natural resources, and a trained workforce.
CM Sai remarked that Korean brands are part of every Indian household, with companies like LG, Samsung and Hyundai having penetrated even remote villages. He underlined that Chhattisgarh offers abundant water, power, iron ore and steel, along with excellent connectivity, creating new doors of opportunity for South Korean investors.
The Chief Minister assured investors that the state government will extend full support at every stage through single-window clearance, ease of doing business measures, and industry-friendly policies. He said that today, Chhattisgarh welcomes global investments in sectors such as minerals, energy, steel, food processing, electronics manufacturing and IT start-ups.
Shri Sai further emphasized that Chhattisgarh’s development model is not confined to industrial growth alone, but is equally focused on employment generation for youth, empowerment of women, and ensuring better value for farmers’ produce. “Along with industrial investments, social empowerment remains our top priority,” he added.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also called on Indian Ambassador Shri Amit Kumar at the Indian Embassy in Seoul and held detailed discussions on Chhattisgarh’s investment prospects. CM Sai said, “We have explored strong possibilities for bilateral economic partnerships spanning from steel and minerals to electronics and food processing.”
He highlighted the cultural and business ties between South Korea and Chhattisgarh, noting that such partnerships would significantly accelerate technology transfer, research and innovation, and high-value job creation. The Chief Minister urged Korean investors to choose Chhattisgarh as their new industrial destination and become partners in this journey of shared prosperity.
Senior officials of the state’s Industries Department and representatives from investment promotion agencies were also present on the occasion.
