Youth participation powering Chhattisgarh’s progress: “CM IT Fellowship Programme” opens new doors of opportunity

In a landmark initiative aimed at empowering youth with the right platform for innovation, skill, and energy, the Government of Chhattisgarh has launched the “CM IT Fellowship Programme.” Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, this programme is poised to become a powerful medium to prepare technically sound and talented youth of the state for global competition.

As part of this scheme, youth from across Chhattisgarh will get the opportunity to pursue M.Tech in futuristic subjects like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-NR), Nawa Raipur. The curriculum has been designed in line with the Digital India Mission and the New Education Policy, placing a strong emphasis on not only technical education but also innovation, research, and practical exposure.

The entire tuition fee of selected students will be borne by the state government, and they will also receive a monthly fellowship of ₹50,000. During the programme, students will gain hands-on experience by working on government projects related to AI, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, HealthTech, EduTech, Revenue Systems, and E-Governance.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that this programme will not only elevate the technological landscape of the state but also act as a strong step towards establishing Chhattisgarh as a frontrunner in the digital era.
