CM Sai Inspects the Manovikas Center

Raipur, March 28
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the Manovikas Center located at the Agricultural Produce Market premises in Baloda Bazar. He engaged in heartfelt conversations with children with special needs, gathered information about their progress, and received feedback from the parents. The Chief Minister was moved after observing the children’s yoga, music, and cultural activities and praised their talents wholeheartedly.
Shri Sai appreciated the administrative initiative to repurpose the former COVID center building as the Manovikas Center and termed it as an exemplary model. He stated that such efforts promote inclusivity and compassion in society. “This is true service to humanity,” he added.
On this occasion, special child Shesh Sahu mesmerized the Chief Minister by chanting the Gayatri Mantra, while Somnath Sahu performed a devotional song on the dholak. Additionally, the Chief Minister particularly appreciated the Surya Namaskar yoga demonstration presented by Neelkamal, Pushkar, Somnath, and Shesh, stating that it was a testament to the children’s physical and mental empowerment.
Manovikas Center: A Fusion of Dedication, Compassion, and Empowerment
Launched in January 2025, the Manovikas Center in Baloda Bazar has emerged as a model institution for the holistic development and rehabilitation of children with special needs. The center is being operated with CSR funds from the Ambuja Adani Cement Plant and currently provides special education, medical support, vocational training, and skill development to over 40 children.
At the center, children are being guided toward self-reliance through various therapies, such as physiotherapy, speech and behavior therapy, psychological counseling, and training in sewing, computer literacy, and gardening. Additionally, the children participate in sports and cultural activities to support their overall development.
On this occasion, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Municipality President Shri Ashok Jain, Dr. Sanam Jangde, Shri Anand Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Agrawal, along with several other public representatives and officials, were also present.
