CM Sai handed over appointment letters to selected candidates in Sub-Inspector cadre
Raipur, March 10
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed appointment letters to 840 selected candidates in the Sub-Inspector cadre at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandkhuri.
While addressing the gathering, he stated that the government is continuously striving to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the police force in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that the role of the police is not just limited to catching criminals but also to ensuring an environment of security and trust in society. He stated that it is the police department’s significant responsibility to promote peace, trust, and cooperation among people.
He further mentioned that the state government is working consistently to improve cyber security, women’s safety, and the operational efficiency of the police force in Naxal-affected areas. The integration of technological resources is making the police force more skilled and effective.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma praised the efforts made under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai for empowering the police force. He said that wearing the uniform is not just about authority but also about the responsibility to serve and protect society. He urged the newly appointed police officers to honor their uniform and always wear it with pride.
During the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated new women’s police stations in Jashpur, Raigarh, Jagdalpur, and Dantewada. He stated that these stations would ensure a safer environment and prompt justice for women. He also mentioned that the state government is considering new plans to further strengthen the police force, focusing on technological advancements, modern weaponry, and training programs.
Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam addressed the newly appointed officers, highlighting that this day marks the beginning of their journey in police service. He stressed that high morale and discipline are essential to becoming a strong police officer.
On this occasion, Arang MLA Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Shri Manoj Pingua, and senior police officials were also present.
