The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, has fulfilled its promise by increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) to 53%, giving a special pre-Holi gift to lakhs of government employees in the state. In compliance with this announcement, the Finance Department has now officially issued the order for the increase in DA.
As per the order, the Dearness Allowance of state government employees has been increased by 3%, raising it to 53%. Employees under the 7th Pay Commission will now receive 53% DA, while employees under the 6th Pay Commission will see a 7% increase, bringing their total DA to 246%.
This hike will be effective from March 1, 2025, and the revised DA will be paid along with the March 2025 salary in April.
