NIT Raipur organized Pledge Ceremony on Communal Harmony and Constitution Day On the occasion of National Constitution Day

National Institute of Technology, Raipur, celebrated Constitution Day on November 26, 2024, marking 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The event was inaugurated with a video presentation highlighting the importance of the Constitution and its foundational principles of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity. Dr. N. V. Ramana Rao ,Director, NIT Raipur, Dr. P. Y. Dhekne,Registrar, alongside all deans, heads of departments, staff, and students, attended the event, showcasing collective support for communal harmony and constitutional values.
Dr. Rao ,Director, NIT Raipur ,emphasized how democracy and communal harmony are intertwined for India’s socio-economic growth. He explained the significance of equality before the law and the freedom to practice religion, underlining the importance of directive principles that aim to ensure socio-economic justice for all citizens.
The event included the recital of the pledge of Communal Horomony and Constitution Day, with all participants vowing to uphold the principles of the Constitution. The celebration also observed Communal Harmony Campaign, aligning with the campaign tagline, “Hamara Sanmvidhaan, Hamara Swabhimaan”.
The program concluded with reflections on the crucial role of the Constitution in a diverse country like India, enabling democracy to thrive through unity in diversity.
