Zoo to be constructed in Dantewada, organic fertilizer to be made available

Maoists support bloodshed and terror, while we work for development and harmony. Now the picture of Bastar is changing rapidly. Where once bullets echoed, now the sound of development is heard. Where there was once unemployment and helplessness, the rural youth of this district are being made self-reliant by providing them with higher education and employment. We will only rest when we eradicate Maoism from its roots. We will not let the sacrifices of our martyred soldiers go in vain.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation laying ceremony of various development works held at Kirandul Bacheli in Dantewada district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the wheel of development is spinning rapidly under the double-engine government. To realize the dreams of our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji of a developed India, we are trying to make developing Chhattisgarh a developed Chhattisgarh under Vision 2047 Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today in Kirandul, Bade Bacheli of Dantewada district, we have inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 501 works worth Rs 160 crore. These include the inauguration of 367 works worth Rs 49 crore and the foundation laying of 134 works worth Rs 112 crore. Along with this, on this occasion, we are also distributing checks and materials for beneficiary-oriented works worth Rs 114 crore. Today, among the major development works that have been inaugurated, there is a bridge worth Rs 33 crore on the Chhindanar to Badekarka road in Gidam block, bridges and culverts worth Rs 1 crore in all the development blocks of the district, widening and strengthening of the Gidam, Kuakonda, Katekalyan road. Apart from this, we have also handed over the keys of 321 pucca houses built at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore under the More Makan-More Awas scheme. We have laid the foundation stone for a water treatment and purification plant in Kirandul for about 45 crore and in Barsur for 15 crore, an inter-state bus stand in Dantewada and Ashram Bhavan construction works in all the development blocks of Dantewada district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that you all know that our government has completed one year of good governance. During this one year, we have fulfilled the guarantee of Modi ji with full guarantee. Our government organized the first Bastar Olympics in which about 1 lakh 65 thousand people participated. This event was also appreciated by our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji in his Mann ki Baat. Our government is continuously working for the benefit of the village, the poor, and the farmers. Our government is giving Rs 5500 per standard bag to tendu leaf collectors, which was earlier Rs 4000. This has started to change the lives of tribals. Under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana, the Agriculture Department is preparing to distribute power sprayers worth Rs 48 lakh and power tillers worth Rs 1.70 crore to all 765 identified farmers in the district soon. Under the Niyadd Nellanar Yojana, 1200 families are being provided free mobile phones. This will enable people in remote areas to connect with the mainstream. To ensure the facility of transportation in remote areas, 37 vehicles are being operated through women’s groups and youth organizations under the Jan Suvidha Express campaign at a cost of about Rs 4 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there is a large number of mothers and sisters present here. This is proof that Rs 1000 is being deposited in their accounts every month. Recently, we deposited money in the accounts of mothers and sisters on the first day of this year. This has strengthened women empowerment.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is continuously working for the benefit of the village, the poor, and the farmers. We are all working together to fulfill the dream of development of Antyodaya, which was envisioned by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji. Prime Minister Modi Ji’s dream is that no Indian will sleep under the open sky. Every citizen will have a pucca house. Immediately after our government was formed, we approved more than 18 lakh Prime Minister’s Houses.
He said that Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has re-approved 3 lakh 88 thousand houses.
Referring to Awas Plus, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in 2024, many people were deprived of the benefits of the housing scheme. Along with this, they were also out of the purview of the housing scheme due to having vehicles, income, and other land resources. Survey work has been started for them under the Awas Plus scheme. And they will soon be added to the list. He told that farmers having 2.5 acres of irrigated and 5 acres of unirrigated land will also be beneficiaries of the housing scheme.
The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to providing good governance to the last person by focusing on education, health, irrigation resources, and road maintenance.
He said that Dantewada district is a leading district in mineral resources and organic farming. Therefore, the state government is committed to the overall development of the region. Soon, a ‘zoo park’ will also be constructed in the district to promote wildlife conservation and tourism. Apart from this, to give importance to organic farming, organic manure will be made available in all lamps and ration shops.
Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his hearty greetings and best wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Chherchhera and Makar Sankranti.
Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, presiding over the program, said in his address that under the one-year leadership of the government, Dantewada district is moving on the path of progress. Many schemes are being implemented in the district which will set an example at the state and national level. In the public meeting, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap and area MLA Shri Chaitram Atami also highlighted the development works of the district. On this occasion, DIG Shri Kamlochan Kashyap, Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi, SP Shri Gaurav Rai, DFO Shri Sagar Jadhav and other officers of the district administration and dignitaries were present.
