Youth to Brighten Chhattisgarh’s Name Through Outstanding and Captivating Presentations: CM Sai

Extending his best wishes for their excellent performance to the youth participating in the National Youth Festival, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that along with fulfilling the resolve of a developed India, Chhattisgarh also needs to be made a developed state.

It is noteworthy that the youth will brighten the name of Chhattisgarh with their excellent and captivating presentations at the National Youth Festival organized on Swami Vivekananda’s birthday. The youth of Chhattisgarh have shown their talent in the Government of India’s campaign to make India a developed nation by 2047 under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A total of 75 participants have been selected to represent the state of Chhattisgarh for the National Youth Festival. 75 youth from the state will get the opportunity to present the vision of making India a developed nation before Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on January 11 and 12, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the youth should brighten the name of Chhattisgarh by showcasing their talent in Delhi. He said that on January 11 and 12, they should perform so well in the National Youth Festival that the youth from other states say “Chhattisgarhiya sab le badiya” (Chhattisgarhi people are the best).
Sports Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that youth are the strength of India. Youth are being provided opportunities to hone their talents in Chhattisgarh. 75 youth from Chhattisgarh will participate in the National Youth Festival.
It is worth noting that through the Youth Festival, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department has provided a platform to more than 80,000 youth of the state. A Youth Dialogue was held on December 26 and 27, 2024 at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium in Raipur. More than 3 lakh 26 thousand registered volunteers of Chhattisgarh and school and college students of the state participated in the first-ever online quiz on the theme of ‘Technology, Development, and Heritage for a Developed India’ on the My Bharat portal. Out of 6,103 youth who qualified in the online quiz, 635 youth wrote essays on 10 defined themes related to making India a developed nation. A maximum of 25 candidates were selected from each subject for the state championship. Out of these, 228 youth were selected for the state championship.
The State Championship was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium, G.E. Road, Raipur. Under this, young participants presented their vision for making India developed through PPT to subject experts. 12 subject experts from Chhattisgarh evaluated the vision PPT presented by the young participants.
45 youth from Chhattisgarh were selected in the state championship and a “Sending Off” ceremony was organized to send them to New Delhi. In addition, 30 participants were selected from folk songs, folk dances, poetry, stories, painting, science fair, and elocution from the video viewing of the cultural performances of the winners at the block level and district level by experts for the National Youth Festival.
On this occasion, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, MLAs Shri Kiran Dev, Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Indra Kumar Saw, Shri Anuj Sharma, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Secretary of Sports Department Shri Himshikhar Gupta and Director Smt. Tanuja Salam along with other officers, employees, and youth were present.
