\nChhattisgarh has registered remarkable progress under the APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) system implemented by the Government of India under the National Education Policy 2020, emerging as a leading state among the country\u2019s major states. By demonstrating swift and effective implementation, the state has set a strong example in providing students with a permanent and secure digital academic identity.<\/p>\n
As of January 7, 2026, APAAR IDs have been successfully generated for 50,60,941 students out of a total of 57,10,207 students studying in 57,045 schools across the state. This represents an achievement of 88.63 percent, the highest percentage recorded among large states. This milestone is being regarded as a significant step towards strengthening Chhattisgarh\u2019s digital education infrastructure.<\/p>\n
At the district level, Bemetara has recorded the highest coverage with 96.40 percent of students having their APAAR IDs generated, followed closely by Rajnandgaon at 96.38 percent. In addition, districts such as Raigarh, Korea, Raipur, Korba, Dhamtari, Durg and Balodabazar have completed APAAR ID creation for over 93 percent of their students. Except for Narayanpur, Bijapur, Sukma, Balrampur and Dantewada, all other districts have achieved more than 80 percent coverage in APAAR ID generation.<\/p>\n
The process of creating APAAR IDs for the remaining students is progressing steadily across all districts. In accordance with the directions of the State Government, teachers and concerned officials are advancing this task on priority, ensuring that no student is deprived of this important national initiative.<\/p>\n
The Government of India has issued clear instructions to ensure that APAAR IDs for all students are generated by January 31, 2026. In this direction, the Chhattisgarh Government is making time-bound and coordinated efforts to achieve the target within the stipulated deadline.<\/p>\n
Notably, through the APAAR ID system, every student will receive a permanent digital academic identity in which their academic achievements, certificates and credits will be securely stored in digital form.
