The scheme is not just about financial assistance but a historic step towards boosting women\u2019s confidence and self-reliance.<\/p>\n
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the gathering at Bastar Dussehra and Muria Darbar in Jagdalpur on the sacred land of Maa Danteshwari, transferred \u20b9606.94 crore as the 20th installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana directly into the bank accounts of 64,94,768 beneficiary women of the state.<\/p>\n
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s vision is to make every woman empowered and self-reliant so that they can contribute equally to the social and economic development of the nation. He added that the way the Chhattisgarh government has implemented this scheme with transparency and commitment sets an example for the entire country. This scheme, he emphasized, will serve as a strong foundation for the state\u2019s sustainable development and women\u2019s empowerment in the years to come.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana is instilling a new spirit of confidence and respect in the lives of women of Chhattisgarh. Mahatari Vandan Yojna, delivered under Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s \u201cModi ki Guarantee\u201d, is not only providing financial support but also enabling women to become self-reliant and earn a new identity within their families and society. CM Shri Sai added that his government\u2019s priority is to ensure that every woman in Chhattisgarh becomes empowered and an equal partner in the journey of development. He further stated that this achievement is proof of the state government\u2019s commitment to make women economically strong and self-sufficient. The scheme, he said, has not only given women the means to meet domestic needs but also offered them the opportunity to live with dignity and financial independence.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, described as a revolutionary initiative for women\u2019s empowerment, was launched on March 1, 2024. The scheme aims to provide a monthly financial assistance of \u20b91,000 to all married women above 21 years of age, helping them move towards self-reliance. Till now, through 19 installments, a total of \u20b912,376.19 crore had been distributed to beneficiary women.
