Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the Naxal-free status of North Bastar and Abujhmad is proof that Bastar is no longer identified by fear, but by a new recognition of trust and development. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, India now stands at the threshold of the end of Naxalism.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai said that the surrender of 258 Naxals in the last two days symbolizes the victory of the power of trust over the gun. He stated that in the last 22 months, 477 Naxals have been killed, 2,110 have surrendered, and 1,785 have been arrested in Chhattisgarh\u2014these figures are witnesses to our unwavering resolve to make the state Naxal-free.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai said that the target to make Chhattisgarh completely Naxal-free by March 31, 2026 is now very close. This change is a direct result of the success of the state government\u2019s “Naxalite Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and the “Niyad Nela Naar Scheme.” The sensitive policies of the ‘double-engine’ government, the continuous establishment of security camps in Bastar, and the growing trust in the government in the forest areas have made this positive change possible. He mentioned that so far, 64 new security camps have been established in Naxal-affected areas, which has not only strengthened security but has also brought the ray of development and trust to every village.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai paid tribute to the indomitable courage and sacrifice of our brave security forces, stating that it is their dedication that has made Bastar free from fear today and put it on the path of peace.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai confirmed that Abujhmad and North Bastar are completely free from Naxal terror, while this fight is in its decisive phase in South Bastar. Schemes like “Niyad Nela Naar” have prepared a new ground for dialogue, development, and sensitivity in Bastar.
\nHe clearly stated that the government\u2019s policy is firm: There is no place for violence. Naxals who choose the path of peace and development are welcome. However, those who attempt to spread terror in society by taking up arms will face strict action from the security forces.
\nThe Chief Minister appealed to all Naxals: “The path of violence gives endless pain, while surrender opens the way for a new beginning, giving life a new direction. Abandon your weapons for the future of your motherland and the bright tomorrow of your families, and step into the light of development.”
\nIt is noteworthy that the decisive battle against Naxalism in the country has achieved a historic milestone. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah posted on the social media handle X, announcing that areas like Abujhmad and North Bastar in Chhattisgarh, which were once strongholds of Naxal terror, have now been declared completely Naxal-free.
\nHe said that this is not only a major success for India\u2019s internal security system but also a new story of development, trust, and sensitivity. In the last two days, a total of 258 Naxals across the country have abandoned the path of violence and surrendered.
\nUnion Home Minister Shri Shah stated that this change is proof that the power of belief in the Constitution is winning, not the gun. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the continuous efforts of the central government have brought Naxalism to its final stage.
