Chhattisgarh has once again made history in the field of water conservation and community participation. In the results of Jal Sanchay Janbhagidari 1.0 (JSJB), the state has secured the second position at the national level. This is not merely an award but a living example of integrated water management and public participation. So far, 4,05,563 activities have been completed in the state, transforming water conservation into a people\u2019s movement.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the people of the state and said that this achievement lays the foundation for a secure water future for the coming generations. He stated that this success is a reflection of the collective awareness that has made Chhattisgarh a source of inspiration for the nation in the domain of water conservation.<\/p>\n
Chhattisgarh has also demonstrated excellence at the urban governance level. The Raipur Municipal Corporation has secured the top spot nationally, winning a national award. Through 33,082 activities, not only has water conservation been promoted, but Raipur has also become a model for participatory urban development. The Chief Minister credited this success to the collective efforts of Raipur’s citizens and municipal administration.<\/p>\n
At the district level, Chhattisgarh also showed outstanding performance:<\/p>\n
In Category 1,<\/p>\n
Balod secured 1st place,<\/p>\n
Rajnandgaon 2nd place,<\/p>\n
Raipur 3rd place.
\nThese districts will each receive \u20b92 crore as an award.<\/p>\n
In Category 2,<\/p>\n
Mahasamund, Baloda Bazar, and Gariaband will each be awarded \u20b91 crore.<\/p>\n
In Category 3,<\/p>\n
Bilaspur, Raigarh, Balrampur, Dhamtari, Surajpur, and Durg will receive \u20b925 lakh each for their outstanding participation.<\/p>\n
This reflects how water conservation has been adopted as a priority throughout the state.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Sai stated that this recognition does not belong to the administration alone but to every farmer, woman, youth, and public representative who resolved to save every drop of water. He emphasized that public welfare is only possible through public participation, and Chhattisgarh has proven this through action.<\/p>\n
He further added that this achievement is a direct outcome of the state\u2019s governance model based on public dialogue and community involvement. The CM highlighted that water conservation is the most critical pillar for Chhattisgarh\u2019s agriculture-based economy and long-term development.<\/p>\n
On Raipur Municipal Corporation’s national honor, the Chief Minister especially appreciated the municipal administration, public representatives, and citizens, stating that this example of urban community-led water conservation is exemplary for the entire country, and other city corporations can learn from it.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, he urged the people of the state not to treat this as merely a government initiative, but to make water conservation a way of life. He said,<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery drop saved is a guarantee of future water security.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chhattisgarh\u2019s achievement once again proves that when government and citizens work together, even the impossible becomes possible.
