The Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy organized a one-day divisional judicial seminar for judicial officers of the Bastar Division at Prerna Hall, Collectorate Building, Jagdalpur. A total of 43 judicial officers from the four districts of the Bastar Division \u2014 Jagdalpur, Kanker, Dantewada, and Kondagaon \u2014 participated in this seminar.<\/p>\n
The session was virtually inaugurated by Hon\u2019ble Chief Justice Mr. Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court and Patron-in-Chief of the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy. The seminar was also graced by the presence of Justice Mr. Amitendra Kishore Prasad, Judge, Chhattisgarh High Court and Portfolio Judge for District Kanker.<\/p>\n
Addressing the judicial officers of the Bastar Division, the Chief Justice stated that expectations from the judiciary are very high in today\u2019s times. People place great hope in us. This seminar is not just a platform for learning, but also a reaffirmation of our collective commitment to justice, fairness, and the rule of law.<\/p>\n
In his address, the Chief Justice emphasized that judicial education is not a one-time process, but a continuous one. In the present era, where laws are evolving rapidly and society is facing new challenges, it is imperative for us, as custodians of justice, to constantly enrich our knowledge and sharpen our judicial skills. Continuous training ensures that we are able to fulfill our constitutional duties with efficiency, integrity, and sensitivity.<\/p>\n
The Chief Justice further added that the Bastar region, with its unique socio-economic and cultural landscape, presents both challenges and opportunities for the judiciary. It is our responsibility to ensure that justice reaches every corner of society, especially the deprived and marginalized sections. The role of judicial officers here is crucial in maintaining public trust and ensuring that justice is not only delivered but is also seen to be delivered.<\/p>\n
He urged all judicial officers to perform their duties with empathy, patience, and impartiality. \u201cRemember,\u201d he said, \u201cbehind every case lies a human story \u2014 of struggle, hope, and faith in the judiciary. We must always strive to ensure that justice is delivered in a timely, transparent, and reasoned manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
In conclusion, the Chief Justice remarked that such seminars provide a valuable opportunity to deliberate on contemporary legal issues, exchange experiences, and adopt best practices. The discussions held during this seminar will enhance the competency of judicial officers and better equip them to handle the complexities of judicial work more efficiently.<\/p>\n
The program was attended virtually by the Registrar General (In-Charge) of the Chhattisgarh High Court and other registry officials. Judicial officers from the districts of Kanker, Kondagaon, Jagdalpur, and Dantewada were physically present. The welcome address was delivered by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jagdalpur; the introductory remarks were made by the Director of the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, and the vote of thanks was presented by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Jagdalpur.<\/p>\n
A total of 43 judicial officers from the Bastar Division participated in the seminar. The participants observed proceedings related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, and presentations were made on new tools and techniques for effective case resolution, the role of referral judges in mediation, execution of decrees, arrest and detention in civil prison, strategies for timely and effective enforcement through property attachment, a detailed analysis of remand and bail provisions, and special references to recent landmark judgments of the Hon\u2019ble Supreme Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
