Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today flagged off the SBI Cyber Security Awareness Rath (an audio-video van) from his residence premises in Raipur, marking the launch of a state-level cyber awareness campaign.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sai said that technology has made human life easier and more convenient, and digital transactions faster and more accessible. However, he cautioned that challenges like cyber fraud have also increased. \u201cWith a little vigilance and caution, people can protect themselves from cyber fraud,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister described the campaign as an effective effort to enhance public understanding of cyber security. He informed that through audio-video messages, street plays, and puppet shows, people will be educated about various forms of cyber fraud. Highlighting the state\u2019s vulnerabilities, Sai said that 29 hotspots have been identified where cyber fraud cases are more frequent, and the Rath will focus specifically on these areas.<\/p>\n
Appealing to citizens, CM Sai said: \u201cDo not share your bank account details, passwords, or OTPs with anyone, and avoid clicking on unknown links. Cyber fraudsters are constantly devising new tricks to cheat people. Even a little carelessness can cost your hard-earned money. Our effort is to make as many people aware as possible so they can safeguard themselves from cybercrime.\u201d<\/p>\n
Notably, in view of the rising incidents of digital fraud and unauthorized transactions, the State Bank of India (SBI), as \u201cthe banker to every Indian\u201d, has launched this statewide cyber security awareness campaign. The campaign will run from August 15 to November 30, 2025. The Rath will travel across all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh, where Nacha teams and street theatre groups will spread awareness about methods of cyber fraud and ways to avoid them.<\/p>\n
SBI officials informed that complaints of online financial fraud can be registered on helpline number 1930.
