On the auspicious occasion of the fourth Monday of the sacred month of Shravan, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai virtually addressed the concluding ceremony of the grand Shiv Mahapuran Katha held near the world\u2019s largest natural Shivling at Madheshwar Pahad in Mayali, located in Kunkuri block of Jashpur district, from his official residence in Raipur.<\/p>\n
The divine seven-day katha series, held from July 28 to August 4, 2025, was organised by the Mahamadheshwar Dham Committee, where renowned spiritual orator Pujya Shri Devkinandan Ji Maharaj from Ayodhya captivated thousands of devotees through his narration of the Shiv Mahapuran. The Chief Minister extended his salutations to the saints at the Vyaspith and expressed gratitude and congratulations to the organising committee for this magnificent spiritual event.<\/p>\n
In his address, CM Sai remarked that Shiv and Shakti are deeply embedded in every grain of Chhattisgarh, and the state derives its spiritual energy from these divine centers. He informed that \u20b910 crore has been sanctioned by the Central Government for the development of Madheshwar Mahadev Dham, and the State Government is working rapidly on infrastructure development and facilities for pilgrims.<\/p>\n
Highlighting prominent Shiv temples across the state, the Chief Minister said that Lord Shiv manifests in many forms for devotees\u2014as Madheshwar Mahadev in Mayali, Baba Bhoramdeo in Kawardha, Kuleshwar Mahadev in Rajim, Bhooteshwar Mahadev in Gariaband, and Lakshmaneshwar Mahadev in Kharaud of Janjgir-Champa. He said that \u201cthe entire state is enveloped in the aura of Lord Shiva.\u201d<\/p>\n
CM Sai also spoke about the Shakti Corridor Scheme, initiated for the development of five major Shakti Peethas in the state. These include Bamleshwari Devi of Dongargarh, Mahamaya Devi of Ratanpur, Chandrahansini Mata of Chandrapur, and Danteshwari Devi of Dantewada. He stated that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, pilgrimage tourism is being redefined and expanded.<\/p>\n
Referring to the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, the Chief Minister said that over 22,000 devotees from the state have already had the opportunity to visit Ayodhya Dham and receive darshan of Prabhu Shri Ram. He added that this scheme has become a powerful medium to strengthen people\u2019s spiritual connection with Shri Ram.<\/p>\n
Further, he mentioned the revival of the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, through which elderly devotees from the state are being taken to 19 prominent pilgrimage sites across the country. This initiative is providing them with \u201cspiritual contentment and a renewed sense of faith.\u201d<\/p>\n
Concluding his remarks, the Chief Minister offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and happiness in the state and wished that Lord Bholenath\u2019s divine grace always remain upon the devotees. He extended his best wishes to the Mahamadheshwar Dham Committee for the successful execution of the event and affirmed that the State Government will transform Chhattisgarh into a new religious and tourism destination through a unique blend of devotion, culture, and development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
