During his visit to Bastar today, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap participated in the Forest Festival held at Besoli. There, in the Peepalwand Gram Panchayat, he requested local resident Son Singh, son of Padam, to relinquish his encroachment on forest department land. In response, the farmer formally returned the encroached forest land in writing before the villagers and also pledged not to undertake such actions in the future.<\/p>\n
Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap described Son Singh\u2019s decision as exemplary. He said this is a unique initiative and that Son Singh\u2019s act will inspire others to voluntarily give up encroachments on forest land for the benefit of society. The Sarpanch of Peepalwand, Mr. Keshav, and the villagers welcomed this example and expressed their gratitude.<\/p>\n
Under the leadership of senior forest officials, Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. R.C. Dugga and Forest Divisional Officer Mr. Uttam Gupta, this initiative is progressing very well, resulting in more people voluntarily returning encroached forest land.
