The entire premises were adorned in a traditional village-themed d\u00e9cor. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, \u201cOur government\u2019s top priority is the prosperity and well-being of our farmers. Hareli is not just a festival\u2014it is deeply rooted in Chhattisgarh\u2019s traditions, nature, and agrarian lifestyle. It reconnects us with our roots. Today, all of Chhattisgarh is celebrating the joy of Hareli, and we are marking it at the CM residence with equal enthusiasm and cultural depth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CM Sai noted that while Hareli is celebrated in diverse ways from Bastar to Sarguja, its soul remains the same \u2014 faith and fervour. \u201cJust as nature takes care of us, we too must care for nature,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cHareli is more than just a celebration of farming \u2014 it is also a festival of greenery and reverence for nature. May Chhattisgarh Mahtari\u2019s blessings continue to shower upon us, and may our farmers remain happy and prosperous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting key initiatives, the CM added, \u201cOur government\u2019s historic decision to procure paddy at \u20b93100 per quintal with a cap of 21 quintals per acre is directly benefiting farmers. We have envisioned a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047 and created a Vision Document to achieve that. Our government is taking strong steps to root out corruption from the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said, \u201cHareli is a celebration of Chhattisgarh\u2019s culture, traditions, and agrarian life. I extend my heartfelt wishes to all citizens. This festival echoes our core values \u2014 our connection with nature, agriculture, and livestock. It is believed that on this day, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati descend to earth and visit the farms. That is why farmers worship their tools, ploughs, oxen, and fields.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He further praised CM Sai\u2019s leadership, saying, \u201cUnder his guidance, Chhattisgarh is making remarkable strides in agriculture. Over \u20b990,000 crore has been disbursed to farmers through procurement and various schemes \u2014 the highest by any state in the country.
