Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today launched the \u2018Gau Vigyan Pariksha Abhiyan 2025\u2019 at his official residence, an initiative organized by the Chhattisgarh State Cow Protection and Promotion Committee. On this occasion, he unveiled the campaign poster and extended his best wishes and greetings to the members of the committee for undertaking this noble cause.<\/p>\n
CM Sai stated that gau seva (cow service) is the soul of Indian culture, which not only offers spiritual benefits but also plays a vital role in environmental conservation. He added that this year, the committee is emphasizing both cow service and the development of kitchen gardens in every household\u2014an admirable step towards public health and self-reliance.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the Committee\u2019s State President, Shri Subodh Rathi, briefed the Chief Minister on the campaign’s structure. He informed that the Gau Vigyan Pariksha will be conducted across the state on 4 November 2025. The objective of the examination is to raise public awareness about the importance of indigenous cattle, their role in the ecological system, contribution towards mitigating global warming, and the scientific relevance of Panchagavya.<\/p>\n
Shri Rathi mentioned that the exam will be conducted in three categories\u2014secondary, higher secondary, and college level. At the state level, participants securing the first position in each category will receive a cash prize of \u20b951,000, second position \u20b931,000, and third \u20b921,000 along with a kit of cow-based products. Similarly, at the district level, winners will be awarded \u20b93,100, \u20b92,100, and \u20b91,100 respectively, along with cow product kits.<\/p>\n
All participants in the examination will receive a Gau Vigyan Granth (cow science book) and a certificate of participation. Interested students can register for the exam through the principal of their institution or the designated Gau Vigyan coordinator.<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that over one lakh students participated in the examination last year. This year, the committee has set a target to exceed that number.
