Children in the remote village of Baturakchar, located in the Gharghoda block of Raigarh district, are now getting a better opportunity for education. Until recently, the village\u2019s primary school had only one teacher, and even that teacher was temporarily assigned from another school. But now, under the state government’s rationalization process, four teachers have been posted at this school.<\/p>\n
A total of 97 students are enrolled in the school. Due to the shortage of teachers, their education was being adversely affected. Itwar Das Mahant, a local parent, shared that his son Tikeshwar, a second-grade student, was not getting proper attention since the whole school depended on just one teacher. He emphasized that early years of schooling are critical, and without teachers, that valuable time was being wasted. Now, with the arrival of more teachers, he hopes learning will significantly improve.<\/p>\n
Another parent, Shakharam Rathiya, also expressed happiness over the new teacher appointments. His son Tulesh, studying in third grade, was struggling because of the teacher\u2019s absence. \u201cIf the lone teacher took a day off, the entire school would shut down,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, that problem is over.\u201d<\/p>\n
The district education department completed the rationalization process on June 3 and 4, under which teachers were assigned to 21 schools that previously had none. Most of these schools are located in remote rural areas. With the new postings, regular classes can now be conducted, bringing education back on track for these children.<\/p>\n
This initiative, led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, has sparked new hope among parents for their children’s future.
