This marks a historic turning point in the field of education for Bijapur district. Under the rationalization process initiated by the state government, regular teachers have now been appointed in 78 previously teacher-less schools in the district. This will not only strengthen the education system but also revive schools that had remained shut for years.<\/p>\n
According to information received from the District Education Office, the rationalization process has been completed as per the government\u2019s directives. Out of 198 identified surplus teachers in the district, 189 have been reassigned to new postings. These include 104 Assistant Teachers, 13 Head Teachers (Primary), 45 Teachers, 31 Head Teachers (Middle), and 5 Lecturers.<\/p>\n
Under the new postings, 82 teachers have been sent to completely teacher-less schools, 44 to single-teacher schools, and 63 to schools with general staffing needs. Significantly, 76 schools in the district that had remained closed for two decades now have regular teachers posted for the first time. These schools are located in remote and highly sensitive areas such as Gundapur, Mudwendi, Hiramgunda, Botetong, Gunjeparti, Jidpalli, and Murkipad. Regular movement of teachers to these villages will now begin, ensuring that children receive quality education.<\/p>\n
Additionally, in one higher secondary school where all lecturer positions were previously vacant, lecturers for Hindi and Social Studies have now been appointed. This will ensure that students\u2019 learning is not disrupted and that subject-wise teaching is conducted effectively.<\/p>\n
This initiative has brought significant improvement to the education system, marking a major shift. The success of this rationalization process clearly shows that the government is prioritizing education even in remote and sensitive districts like Bijapur.
