After receiving approval from the Central Government, the Final Location Survey (FLS) for the proposed 160.33 km-long railway line from Kothagudem (Telangana) to Kirandul (Chhattisgarh) has reached its final stage. Of this, 138.51 km will pass through the Naxal-affected districts of Sukma, Dantewada, and Bijapur in Chhattisgarh, which have so far remained disconnected from the railway network.<\/p>\n<p>This project will not only ease transportation but also bring transformational socio-economic development to the region.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian Railways is conducting the survey using state-of-the-art LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is closely monitoring this project, considering it critically important for internal security and regional development.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian Railways has expressed special gratitude to the Government of Chhattisgarh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, whose guidance and coordination helped accelerate the survey work once again.
