Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited Muler, a remote and tribal-majority village in Bastar division. This village is one of the last villages located on the border of Dantewada district, where inclusive development works are now rapidly progressing under the Niyad Nellanar scheme.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai was warmly welcomed by the villagers with traditional garlands made of Mahua and mango leaves, and a ‘Gaur Mukut’ (bison horn crown). Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, and Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam were also felicitated with traditional bouquets made of Chhind leaves.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai held a ‘Chaupal’ (community gathering) under a tamarind tree and directly interacted with the villagers. He listened to their grassroots problems and discussed development priorities. He inspected the ration shop, where he spoke with beneficiaries to ascertain the regularity, quality, and usage of ration distribution. During this, he also had the food grains weighed on the spot and checked a beneficiary’s ration card. Chief Minister Shri Sai also had a cordial conversation with children at the Anganwadi (child care center), inquiring about their literacy, color recognition, etc., and distributed chocolates to them.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai made several important announcements on the spot, including the sanction of \u20b94 lakh for the construction of the Andal Kosam Mata Temple, the establishment of a sub-health center in the village, the construction of a connecting road to Nahari, and the sanction of \u20b95 lakh for culvert and CC road construction to connect all hamlets of the village. He further stated that camps would soon be organized to expedite the issuance of forest rights recognition certificates, Aadhaar cards, and Ayushman cards.
\nOn this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai met Ramshila Nag, a student from Dantewada who secured the 9th position in the state’s 10th board examination. He honored her with a bouquet and sweets, and wished her a bright future.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai’s visit to Muler village not only symbolized the sensitivity of good governance but also proved the state government’s commitment to reaching every last person in the state.
\nMuler Gram Panchayat of Dantewada District: All-round Development Through Scheme Implementation
\nIt is noteworthy that the remote Gram Panchayat of Muler in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district is writing a new chapter of development. Despite limited resources, the efficient implementation of various government schemes has provided this village with a strong foundation for empowerment, self-reliance, and service.
\nMuler Gram Panchayat, which falls under the Bade Bachheli Assembly constituency, is located approximately 90 km from the district headquarters. A total of 474 people from 112 families reside here, all of whom belong to the Madia tribe. The village has two Anganwadi centers (Balkepara and Patelpara). Six women’s self-help groups are active in the village, among which the Lakshmi group has been provided with a tractor from the DMF fund. This tractor is used for farming as well as for rental purposes. Regular supply of rations is being provided to BPL cardholder families. The village has solar-powered home lighting. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women in Muler village are benefiting from the scheme, which provides them with financial support and a sense of self-respect. Muler Gram Panchayat is an exemplary illustration of the grassroots reach and smooth implementation of government schemes in a remote tribal area.
