For the first time, electricity has reached 17 forest villages located amidst the dense, Naxal-affected forests of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district in Chhattisgarh. This is not just an achievement but a significant milestone that has brought hope and light into the lives of the residents of these villages.
\nUnder the Chief Minister Majratola Electrification Scheme, the dream of providing electricity to extremely remote villages like Katuljhora, Kattapar, Bodra, Bukmarka, Sambalpur, Gattegahan, Pugda, Amakodo, Pitemeta, Tateksa, Kundalkal, Raymanhora, Nainguda, Metatodke, Kohkatola, Edsameta, and Kunjkanhar has been realized at a cost of \u20b93 crore. Reaching these areas was extremely challenging. Executing the work amidst rugged hills, dense forests, and the Naxal threat was nothing short of a mission.
\nWhen the first light of electricity flowed from the transformer in the villages, there was joy in the eyes of the villagers. In some villages, children danced, while elsewhere, elders burst firecrackers to express their happiness. This was the moment they had awaited for decades. Until now, 540 families in these forest villages relied on solar energy and lanterns. In many villages, solar panels were either stolen or damaged, leaving people’s nights dark and terrifying. Now, 275 families have received electricity connections, and connections are being installed in the remaining households.
\nThe Executive Director energized and commissioned the 25 KVA transformer installed in Tateksa village. This work involved laying a 45 km long 11 KV line, installing 87 low-tension poles, and 17 transformers. Executive Director Shri Selat stated that obtaining NOC from the forest department for laying the 11 KV line to these remote villages and transporting equipment was challenging. This work was made possible by the resolve of the Chief Minister Majratola Electrification Scheme and the efforts of the dedicated technical team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
