The villagers of Jhurandi were overwhelmed by the simplicity and approachability of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. In the scorching afternoon, the Chief Minister’s helicopter suddenly landed in Jhurandi village of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. The villagers were filled with joy and surprise to find the Chief Minister among them without any prior notice. The Chief Minister held a ‘Chaupal’ (community gathering) under the shade of a banyan tree in the village and interacted with the villagers in a very cordial manner. Soon, the entire village gathered, and the atmosphere became festive. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was also present with the Chief Minister.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai began his conversation with the villagers by saying that “I have held ‘Jan Chaupals’ (public gatherings) in many districts of Bastar, Surguja, and in remote villages of districts like Janjgir, Champa, Kabirdham, Bemetara. He said that today I have reached your village Jhurandi directly from Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district. Our government is the government of villages, the poor, and farmers. We want to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every household.” He instructed officials to take prompt action on the demands and problems of the villagers and ensure that the benefits of schemes reach every eligible beneficiary on time.
\nResponding to the villagers’ demands, the Chief Minister announced the construction of high school and higher secondary school buildings in Jhurandi village. He announced \u20b920 lakh for CC road construction in the village, \u20b92 crore 54 lakh for the construction of a high-level bridge on the Gandai to Kritbadha access road, and \u20b92 crore 52 lakh for the construction of a high-level bridge at Limo on the Gandai Karranal access road, and the construction of a new Panchayat building in Gram Panchayat Bhorampur at the villagers’ request.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai held the ‘Jan Chaupal’ under the shade of a banyan tree at the village market square and began his interaction with the villagers in Chhattisgarhi language, which further deepened the emotional connection with the villagers. He listened to the villagers’ problems, suggestions, and experiences related to the implementation of schemes. The villagers wholeheartedly praised Chief Minister Shri Sai’s simple, straightforward, modest, and humble demeanor. The elders said that it was the first time in many years that the head of the state had directly visited their village. Farmers and youth observed and felt the Chief Minister’s grounded style closely.
\nChief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai clarified the objectives of the Good Governance Festival on this occasion, stating that “In this campaign, from the Chief Minister to ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local public representatives, all are actively participating and evaluating the ground reality.” He informed that he himself has visited many villages from Bastar to Surguja and is taking direct information about the progress of schemes. The Chief Minister offered prayers at the Pawanputra Hanuman Temple located at the village market square and prayed for the prosperity of the state’s residents. On this occasion, former MLA Shri Komal Janghel, District Panchayat President Smt. Priyanka Khamhan Tamrakar, along with many public representatives and senior administrative officers, were present.
\n180 PM Awas Completed in Jhurandi Village
\nJhurandi Gram Panchayat, under Khairagarh development block, has a population of 1935. This village has a majority of Lodhi and Verma communities. The village has adequate arrangements for health, education, electricity, and drinking water. Anganwadi centers are also operational. The village has primary school, middle school, and high school facilities, providing quality education to children.
\nUnder the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a total of 217 houses have been sanctioned in the Gram Panchayat, out of which 180 have been completed and 37 are under construction. 616 women are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Water supply is being provided under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Villagers are getting employment under MNREGA. 17 women’s self-help groups are engaged in livelihood activities in the village.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
