Bastar, while preserving its rich cultural and historical heritage, is swiftly moving forward on the path of development. \u201cNow, every corner of Bastar will see progress, and all obstacles on the path of development will be removed,\u201d declared Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during his address at a Samadhan Shivir (public grievance redressal camp) held in Tongpal, Sukma district, as part of the Sushasan Tihar initiative.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced development works worth over \u20b9500 crore and inaugurated various completed projects worth \u20b916 crore, bringing significant infrastructure upgrades to the region. Present at the event were elected representatives from the three-tier Panchayati Raj system, Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, and Secretary Dr. Basavaraju S.<\/p>\n
\u201cBastar is Changing\u201d
\nCM Sai expressed his delight at being among the people during the concluding phase of Sushasan Tihar, appreciating the local hospitality and natural surroundings. He said, \u201cBastar is now raising a strong voice for change, which has weakened the morale of Maoists. Naxalism in Bastar is now breathing its last. Schools are ringing with the sound of bells, and children are fearlessly receiving education in Sukma, once known as a Maoist stronghold.\u201d<\/p>\n
He emphasized that the campaign aims to evaluate the real status of welfare schemes and ensure basic facilities are reaching the people. During his visit, he reviewed the status of PM Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and other essential services like ration availability, teacher presence, and healthcare.<\/p>\n

\nThe CM stated that the three-phase Sushasan Tihar has been a success and credited the administration for addressing citizens’ concerns with dedication. \u201cOnly a government with clean intentions and policies can do such work. We have worked with honesty, which is why we\u2019re here presenting our performance to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mahtari Vandan Yojana has empowered women financially.<\/p>\n
18 lakh pucca houses sanctioned under PM Awas Yojana.<\/p>\n
Farmers are receiving 21 quintals of paddy per acre at \u20b93,100 per quintal.<\/p>\n
Pending bonus payments for paddy have been disbursed.<\/p>\n
Religious tourism promoted through Ramlala Darshan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana.<\/p>\n
Tendu leaf collectors now receive \u20b95,000 per standard bag.<\/p>\n
Atal Digital Seva Kendras launched in 1,460 gram panchayats, aiming for full coverage in the next year.<\/p>\n
Public Feedback on Welfare Schemes
\nAt the Tongpal Samadhan Shivir, the CM personally interacted with villagers.<\/p>\n
Triveni Rawate shared that she receives the Mahtari Vandan monthly benefit, which helps in raising her children.<\/p>\n
Vedmati Kashyap said her self-help group earns over \u20b91.5 lakh annually by stitching uniforms for students of three Eklavya schools.
\nOther villagers also shared their experiences and requested further support.<\/p>\n
New Transport Initiative: \u201cPratigya Hakkum Mail\u201d
\nA new bus service, \u201cPratigya Hakkum Mail\u201d, will now run on the Kistaram-Konta route \u2014 once a sensitive area. CM Sai handed over the bus keys to the Pratigya Mahila Cluster Organisation of Muraiguda, providing enhanced connectivity for the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cKeys to Happiness\u201d for Housing Beneficiaries
\nIn a symbolic gesture, the CM handed over keys to PM Awas Yojana beneficiaries in Tongpal. Four beneficiaries received first-installment checks, and four others received keys to fully completed homes.<\/p>\n
Support for Youth in Sports
\nUnder the Khelo India initiative, 10 athletes (8 women football players and 2 hockey players) received sports kits from the CM. Notably, these female athletes were selected for Khelo India Academies in Raipur and Sukma.<\/p>\n
