Despite light rain, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reached the Grievance Redressal Camp in Dhamtari today and, responding to public demands, announced development works worth \u20b9213 crore. These include a high-tech bus stand, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and the construction of three major roads. The 54-day state-wide \u2018Good Governance Festival\u2019 (Sushasan Tihar), aimed at resolving citizens\u2019 issues in a mission-mode, officially concluded today at the camp held at the old agricultural market premises in Dhamtari.<\/p>\n
At the camp, the Chief Minister personally reviewed the on-ground status of various schemes and observed the process of grievance redressal. He inspected several government stalls and directed officials to ensure swift and satisfactory resolution of the received applications. Despite the rain, the large crowd of enthusiastic citizens gave the Chief Minister a vibrant welcome with garlands made of lotus flowers.<\/p>\n
Major Announcements for Dhamtari
\nOn the occasion of the Good Governance Festival, CM Sai fulfilled long-standing demands of Dhamtari district by announcing development works worth \u20b9213 crore, including:<\/p>\n
\u20b918 crore for a high-tech bus stand<\/p>\n
\u20b910.5 crore for a fully equipped auditorium<\/p>\n
\u20b969 crore for a 5-km four-lane road from Sihawa Chowk to Koliyari<\/p>\n
\u20b956 crore for a four-lane road from Ratnabandha to Mujgahan<\/p>\n
\u20b960 crore for the renovation and strengthening of the Dhamtari-Nagari main road<\/p>\n
Good Governance Means Good Administration
\nAddressing the camp, the Chief Minister explained that \u201cGood Governance means effective and efficient administration.\u201d The Good Governance Festival was launched to resolve public issues. It was conducted in three phases:<\/p>\n
Applications were collected from rural citizens in each district.<\/p>\n
These applications were acted upon.<\/p>\n
Grievance camps were organized in 8\u201310 gram panchayats per district to inform citizens about resolutions.<\/p>\n
He said surprise visits to villages and feedback from locals were an important part of the initiative, along with inspections of ongoing development works. More than 4 million applications were received during the campaign, and 95% have already been resolved\u2014a testament to a responsive and accountable administration.<\/p>\n
Fulfilling the Prime Minister\u2019s Guarantee
\nThe CM emphasized that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives a guarantee, it means it will be fulfilled. The previous state government had excluded 1.8 million poor families from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but the current government approved all of them in its very first cabinet meeting. So far, millions of beneficiaries have moved into their new homes.<\/p>\n
Recently, PM Modi inaugurated 300,000 houses in Bilaspur, and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan facilitated entry into over 51,000 homes in Ambikapur.<\/p>\n
He also announced 15,000 special houses for surrendered Maoists and affected families in Naxal-affected areas, and 32,000 additional homes for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups like the Korwas, Pahadi Korwas, and Abujhmarias\u2014demonstrating the government\u2019s commitment to reaching even the most marginalized.<\/p>\n
Welfare for Mothers and the Elderly
\nMentioning the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the CM said over 7 million women have already benefited. He added that women whose names were missed or need updates due to marriage will be given the opportunity to register. The Mukhyamantri Ramlala Darshan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana are also helping senior citizens visit religious destinations.<\/p>\n
On-Ground Feedback from Beneficiaries
\nCM Sai interacted with rural citizens at the camp to gather feedback on schemes.<\/p>\n
Sudha Markande from Jodhpur Dak Bungalow Ward, a PM Awas Yojana beneficiary, shared that she now lives in a proper home, free from leaks and pests.<\/p>\n
\u2018Lakhpati Didi\u2019 Santoshi Hirwani said she earns an additional \u20b912,000 monthly through poultry, fishery, animal husbandry, and mushroom farming.<\/p>\n
Vedprakash Sahu, who teaches karate and dance at a cultural center, said the center provided him employment.<\/p>\n
