On the special instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and based on the proposal from the Health Department, the Finance Department has granted revised administrative approval for the construction of the Government Medical College and affiliated hospital building in Ambikapur. Initially, \u20b9374.08 crore was approved for this project. <\/p>\n
After an expansion in the scope of work and cost escalation, the total cost of the project has now been revised to \u20b9472.58 crore. This marks a significant increase of over \u20b998 crore in the project\u2019s cost.<\/p>\n
Construction Work Ongoing Rapidly, Several Key Buildings in Use: Government\u2019s Focus on Completing Remaining Works Quickly<\/p>\n
Construction work on the medical college campus is progressing at a rapid pace. Key structures such as staff quarters, hostel buildings, college buildings, boundary walls, internal and external roads, underground water tanks, animal houses, drainage systems, retaining walls, and toe walls have been completed. These buildings are being utilized by the medical department, which is enhancing both healthcare services and medical education in the region. Chief Minister Shri Sai has instructed the swift completion of remaining works such as the hospital building, auditorium, guest house, external water supply, and sewer lines. He emphasized that the government\u2019s priority is to make the medical college and hospital fully operational as soon as possible, so that citizens can benefit from state-of-the-art and quality healthcare services.<\/p>\n
