Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the 7-day Shiv Mahapuran Katha organized at Madheshwar Mahadev Dham in Mayali, Jashpur district, and listened to the Katha with devotion while sitting with families from the particularly backward tribal groups, the Pahari Korwa and Birhor tribes. Notably, more than one lakh devotees were present on this occasion to listen to the Shiv Mahapuran Katha.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai felicitated the storyteller Pandit Shri Pradeep Mishra Ji by garlanding him and presenting him with a photograph of Madheshwar Mahadev, and also sought his blessings while wishing for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
\nAlong with Chief Minister Shri Sai, his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai, Zila Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Vice-President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judeo, Pawan Sai, Krishna Kumar Rai, Bharat Singh, and senior administrative officers \u2014 Commissioner Shri Narendra Dugga, IG Shri Ankit Garg, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, and a large number of devotees were present.
\nChief Minister Teerth Yatra Yojana (Pilgrimage Scheme) to resume on March 27
\nAddressing the devotees, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is a matter of great fortune for all of us that Pandit Pradeep Mishra himself has come to the land of Madheshwar Mahadev to narrate the divine story of Lord Shiva. The stream of devotion to Shiva, which has been flowing here for the past five days, has filled the entire atmosphere with spiritual energy. People are gaining spiritual knowledge from this holy Katha.
\nChief Minister Shri Sai informed that the Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Yojana will be restarted on March 27. Under this, interested devotees will be sent for pilgrimage to various holy sites. The Chief Minister also informed that so far, more than 22,000 devotees have visited Lord Shri Ram under the Ayodhya Dham Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
\nThe villagers of the particularly backward tribal groups, the Pahari Korwa and Birhor tribes, have also benefited from the divine stream of the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. Many devotees from villages like Pandarsili (Manora), Beherakhar, and Bhitghara (Bagicha) reached the Katha site. Santosh Ram, Bajru Ram, Shankar Ram, Durga Ram from the Pahari Korwa tribe and Gendu Ram, Gurubaru Ram, Lakha Ram from the Birhor tribe said that the Shiv Katha has touched their inner souls. The discourses of Pradeep Mishra Ji not only teach devotion but also give a new direction to life.
\nMadheshwar Mahadev: Center of spiritual faith
\nChief Minister Shri Sai described Madheshwar Mahadev Dham as a symbol of pride as the world’s largest natural Shivling and said that this place is the center of religious faith for the entire state.
