Presenting the budget, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary announced that with this allocation, the total state budget for 2024-25 has increased to \u20b91,75,342 crore.<\/p>\n<p>This includes:<\/p>\n<p>Main budget: \u20b91,47,446 crore<br \/>\nFirst supplementary budget: \u20b97,329 crore<br \/>\nSecond supplementary budget: \u20b9805.71 crore<br \/>\nThird supplementary budget: \u20b919,762.12 crore<br \/>\nPM Modi&#8217;s Guarantee Delivered: Immediate Relief for Farmers<br \/>\nReplying to the discussion on the budget, Finance Minister Choudhary emphasized that the people of Chhattisgarh trust PM Narendra Modi\u2019s guarantees. Within 12 days of assuming office, the government fulfilled its promise by paying \u20b93,716 crore in pending bonuses to over 12 lakh farmers.<\/p>\n<p>A record 149 lakh metric tons of paddy was procured at support price this year.<br \/>\nPaddy procurement ended on January 31, and within a week, \u20b912,000 crore was directly transferred to the bank accounts of 25.49 lakh farmers\u2014a historic transaction for farmers in India.<br \/>\n\u20b96,000 Crore Incentive from Central Government for Financial Reforms<br \/>\nFinance Minister Choudhary expressed pride in Chhattisgarh receiving the highest financial incentive in the country\u2014\u20b96,000 crore\u2014from the Central Government for its effective financial management.<\/p>\n<p>This boost enhances capital expenditure and accelerates development projects.<br \/>\nThe government\u2019s fiscal discipline and good governance have led to increased public trust in CM Vishnu Deo Sai&#8217;s leadership.<br \/>\nFocus on Financial Discipline &#038; Debt Reduction<br \/>\nThe third supplementary budget prioritizes financial discipline and reduction of past liabilities to ensure uninterrupted development.<\/p>\n<p>\u20b93,500 crore in high-interest loans from Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation, Housing Board, and Police Housing will be prepaid to save over \u20b950 crore annually in interest payments.<br \/>\nBoost to Industrial &#038; Infrastructure Development<br \/>\nAdditional budget for pharmaceutical parks in Rajnandgaon, Janjgir-Champa, and Naya Raipur.<br \/>\n\u20b976 crore for establishing industrial institutes and engineering parks.<br \/>\n\u20b934 crore allocated for working women\u2019s hostels in Raipur, Naya Raipur, and Bilaspur.<br \/>\nKey Allocations in the Third Supplementary Budget 2024-25<br \/>\n\u20b93 crore \u2013 Police Training Schools<br \/>\n\u20b9145 crore \u2013 District Hospitals<br \/>\n\u20b91,278 crore \u2013 Pension Payments<br \/>\n\u20b9320 crore \u2013 Family Pension<br \/>\n\u20b9500 crore \u2013 Police Department<br \/>\n\u20b9600 crore \u2013 Compensation for Food Procurement Losses (State Cooperative Marketing Federation)<br \/>\n\u20b9125 crore \u2013 Minor Irrigation Projects<br \/>\n\u20b937 crore \u2013 Retirement &#038; Service Awards<br \/>\n\u20b915 crore \u2013 Anicut\/Stop Dam Construction<br \/>\n\u20b91,043 crore \u2013 Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority<br \/>\n\u20b9195 crore \u2013 Establishment of New Industrial Areas<br \/>\n\u20b986 crore \u2013 Community Health Centers<br \/>\n\u20b92,250 crore \u2013 Loan Repayment for Road Construction<br \/>\n\u20b92,200 crore \u2013 Free Electricity for Agricultural Pumps<br \/>\n\u20b9451 crore \u2013 Distribution of Chana (Gram) Under Antyodaya Food Scheme<br \/>\n\u20b9326 crore \u2013 Electricity Bill Subsidy for Consumers<br \/>\n\u20b9600 crore \u2013 Reimbursement of Food Procurement Expenditure<br \/>\nCommitment to Financial Stability &#038; Development<br \/>\nFinance Minister Choudhary reiterated the state\u2019s commitment to prudent financial management, ensuring that Chhattisgarh progresses toward greater economic stability and growth.
