On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed 6.5 million property cards across 50,000 villages under the SVAMITVA Scheme. On this occasion, a district-level program was organized at Ambikapur PG College Auditorium in Surguja district, where Finance Minister and District In-Charge Minister OP Choudhary participated as the chief guest. He handed over property cards to 471 beneficiaries in the district and extended his best wishes.<\/p>\n
Empowering Rural Residents Through Land Ownership
\nFinance Minister OP Choudhary stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 6.5 million beneficiaries across 50,000 villages are being provided with property cards. He described the SVAMITVA Scheme as a historic initiative aimed at granting land ownership rights to rural residents. This scheme will enable villagers to use property cards to secure loans from banks, ensuring their economic empowerment while also resolving land-related disputes.<\/p>\n
He further mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the government is fulfilling its promises. Farmers’ bonus payments were transferred directly into their accounts, and under the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, devotees are getting the opportunity to visit Ayodhya Dham. Additionally, the government has resumed the survey process for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to ensure no deserving family is left out.<\/p>\n
For women\u2019s empowerment, the Mahitari Vandan Yojana has been introduced, under which women beneficiaries will receive paperless loans of up to \u20b925,000 under the Shakti Vandan Yojana through banks.<\/p>\n
Surguja’s Development is a Priority
\nMinister OP Choudhary emphasized the government’s commitment to the holistic development of Surguja. He mentioned that significant funds have been allocated for various development projects and assured that the upcoming state budget will include more initiatives for Surguja district.<\/p>\n
Under the SVAMITVA Scheme, 471 beneficiaries across six tehsils in Surguja district received property cards:<\/p>\n

\nDarima Tehsil \u2013 43 beneficiaries
\nDuring the event, Ambikapur MLA Rajesh Agrawal also addressed the gathering.<\/p>\n

\nMinister OP Choudhary inspected various departmental stalls set up at the venue and pledged support for the “Child Marriage-Free Chhattisgarh” campaign.<\/p>\n

Proposal for Library Construction on Nalanda Campus Model
\nDuring an interaction with the youth, Minister OP Choudhary discussed their request for a library modeled after the Nalanda Campus in Surguja. He revealed that the state government has decided to establish similar libraries in 13 urban areas, a move welcomed by the youth.<\/p>\n

\n35 beneficiaries under PMAY received house keys and wall clocks
\n10 pregnant women received nutrition kits
\n10 women trained in housekeeping under the PM Skill Development Scheme received certificates
