Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed 6.5 million property cards under the Swamitva Scheme across the country on Saturday. During this event, a program was organized at the Ambikapur PG College Auditorium in Surguja district, where Finance Minister and District In-Charge Minister Mr. OP Choudhary attended as the chief guest. He distributed property cards to 471 beneficiaries in the district and extended his congratulations.<\/p>\n
Finance Minister Mr. OP Choudhary stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 6.5 million beneficiaries in 50,000 villages nationwide are receiving property cards. He described the Swamitva Scheme as a historic initiative aimed at granting villagers ownership rights to their land. This initiative will empower villagers, enabling them to secure bank loans using property cards and resolving land disputes.<\/p>\n
The minister further highlighted that under Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai\u2019s leadership, the government is consistently fulfilling its promises. Farmers received bonus amounts directly in their accounts, and under the Ram Lalla Darshan Scheme, pilgrims are provided opportunities to visit Ayodhya Dham. Additionally, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, permanent housing is being provided to needy families, and the survey process has been restarted to ensure no eligible person is left out. To empower women, the government has directed banks to provide paperless loans of up to \u20b925,000 under the Mahatari Vandan Scheme.<\/p>\n
District In-Charge Minister Mr. OP Choudhary reiterated the government\u2019s commitment to the comprehensive development of Surguja. The state government has allocated significant funds for various development projects and plans to include more schemes for Surguja in the upcoming budget.<\/p>\n
Under the Swamitva Scheme, property cards were distributed to 471 beneficiaries in six tehsils of the district, including 283 in Ambikapur, 50 in Udaipur, 40 in Lakhanpur, 21 in Sitapur, 14 in Batauli, 20 in Lundra, and 43 in Darima. Ambikapur MLA Mr. Rajesh Agrawal also addressed the gathering during the event.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, Mr. Choudhary visited departmental stalls and pledged support for the “Child Marriage-Free Chhattisgarh” campaign. State Youth Commission Chairman Mr. Vishwajit Singh Tomar, District Collector Mr. Vilas Bhonsle, SP Mr. Yogesh Patel, and a large number of beneficiaries and citizens were present.<\/p>\n
State Youth Festival Winners Honored
\nFinance Minister Mr. OP Choudhary honored the rock band from the College of Music, which secured second place in the State Youth Festival. He praised their achievement and announced financial assistance of \u20b925,000.<\/p>\n
Initiative for Library Construction on the Lines of Nalanda Campus in Surguja<\/p>\n
Youth from the district discussed the construction of a library on the lines of the Nalanda Campus with Minister Mr. Choudhary. He informed them about plans to establish such libraries in 13 urban bodies across the state, a decision met with enthusiasm by the youth.<\/p>\n
Distribution of Beneficiary-Oriented Items
\nDuring the event, various items were distributed, including Ayushman Bharat cards, pumps, new Kisan Credit Cards, and ATM cards to five beneficiaries each. Additionally, power sprayers, caste certificates, house keys under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and wall clocks were distributed to select beneficiaries. Ten pregnant women received nutrition kits, and certificates were presented to ten women trained in housekeeping under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
