\nUnion Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, stating that their governments are working tirelessly for the people\u2019s welfare. Highlighting the benefits of the “double engine” government (same party governance at central and state levels), Nadda said it has accelerated development across the country and the state.<\/p>\n
Addressing the “Janadesh Parv” event at Raipur\u2019s Science College Ground, Nadda said India is now the world\u2019s fifth-largest economy and is poised to become the third-largest in the next five years. He also noted that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty under Modi’s leadership.<\/p>\n
At the event, the minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth \u20b91,124 crores. He also highlighted the Chhattisgarh government’s achievements over the past year, including its focus on public welfare initiatives like providing housing for over 18 lakh needy families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and paying farmers a bonus of \u20b93,716 crores for pending dues from paddy purchases.<\/p>\n
Key Announcements by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai:<\/p>\n
The annual celebration of “Janadesh Parv” from December 3 to December 13.
\nDeclaring Chhattisgarh\u2019s silver jubilee year as “Atal Nirman Year” to honor former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s contribution to the state.
\nSai emphasized infrastructure development as a priority during this special year and announced plans for thematic initiatives in subsequent years. He also highlighted various achievements of his government, including transferring \u20b949,000 crores to farmers\u2019 accounts and supporting women through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, which has benefitted 70 lakh women with \u20b96,530 crores distributed in ten installments.<\/p>\n
Governance Values and Development:
\nThe Chief Minister reiterated the commitment to “Ram Rajya” values in governance, ensuring transparency and good administration. Initiatives like e-office systems have streamlined processes, enhancing accountability and reducing bureaucracy. He also emphasized significant progress in tribal welfare, with increased support for forest produce collectors and recognition of Chhattisgarh\u2019s cultural and natural heritage, such as the inclusion of Dhurmaras village in UNESCO’s list of top 20 global tourist destinations.<\/p>\n
Tourism and Economic Growth:
\nThe state is advancing tourism through projects like the Bastar Tourism Corridor and the recognition of Jashpur’s natural Shiva lingam as the largest in the world. Additionally, Bastar\u2019s Ayodhya Ram Temple replica was presented to Union Minister Nadda as a token of appreciation.<\/p>\n
Success in Combating Maoism:
\nSai highlighted a major victory against Maoism, with over 200 extremists neutralized within a year and developmental efforts reaching previously affected areas under the “Niyad Nella Nar” initiative.<\/p>\n
Industrial and Employment Growth:
\nThe state\u2019s new industrial policy aims to attract investments worth \u20b92.5 lakh crores and create 5 lakh jobs over the next five years. Recruitment drives for government positions have also commenced, strengthening administrative capacity.<\/p>\n
