Raipur, December 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the Chief Minister formally invited the Home Minister to attend the closing ceremony of the Bastar Olympics and the Police Awards program, which he graciously accepted. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were also present at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister briefed the Union Home Minister on recent achievements in anti-Naxal operations and ongoing development initiatives in the Bastar region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that the government’s efforts in building roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and creating employment opportunities have won the trust of the local populace, leading to a significant weakening of Maoist influence. He further noted that the combined efforts of the state government and security forces have resulted in a sharp decline in Naxal-related incidents in the Bastar region. Bastar is now progressing rapidly toward becoming Naxal-free, with development initiatives playing a crucial role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh will be completely Naxal-free by 2026. He informed the Union Home Minister about priority plans for the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites and families affected by Naxalism. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the construction of 15,000 houses has been expedited to ensure a safe and dignified life for the affected families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister also apprised the Union Home Minister of the significance and impact of the Bastar Olympics. He emphasized that the event serves as a powerful step toward peace and development by engaging youth through sports. Over 1.65 lakh youth have participated in this Olympic event so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bastar Olympics include 11 traditional games, such as hockey, football, kabaddi, and volleyball. These games are fostering unity, positivity, and a sense of community among the youth.
