6-year-old pending demands of Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies met within 24 hours<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salary and allowances of committee employees increased<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raipur, November 12<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the thoughtful initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the strike by managers and employees of Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies has come to an end after eight days on Tuesday. Following the Chief Minister\u2019s intervention, the long-pending demand for a salary increase for committee employees, which were held up for six years, was fulfilled by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies within 24 hours. A 25% increase in salaries and allowances for committee employees was approved. Additionally, an inter-departmental committee has been formed at the government level to address two other demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the first salary increase for approximately 13,000 cooperative society employees since 2018, driven by Chief Minister Sai\u2019s proactive involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Sai personally addressed the demands of the employees, directing departmental officers to resolve the issues. A meeting was held on November 10 between the Chief Minister and departmental officials to discuss the employees\u2019 demands, resulting in swift action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25% Increase in Salaries and Allowances for Committee Employees<\/em>
In compliance with the Chief Minister\u2019s instructions, the Cooperative Department issued an order on November 11, 2024, amending the Cooperative Committee Employees Service Rules to approve a 25% increase in salaries and allowances, bringing joy and enthusiasm among employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Food Department has also issued a letter stating that after the paddy procurement season, within a month, rice millers and the Marketing Federation will lift the paddy. If any paddy remains at the procurement centers, the Food Department will submit a proposal to the Finance Department to cover drying costs for cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An inter-departmental committee, including the Food, Finance, Agriculture, Cooperative, and Marketing Federation, has been formed to address additional demands of the employees. This committee will review the demands and submit recommendations to the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employees Return to Work in Their Respective Committees<\/em>
All employees have resumed their duties and are preparing for the paddy procurement season starting on November 14, 2024. They assured that farmers will face no issues during the procurement process, with all preparations completed by November 13, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commissioner of Cooperatives and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, has directed all employees and officials to ensure a smooth and transparent paddy procurement process. He also instructed officials to conduct continuous inspections of the procurement centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chhattisgarh Cooperative Committee Employees Federation, which began the strike on November 4, 2024, has now officially declared it ended. Federation President Shri Narendra Sahu announced the conclusion of the strike, affirming the commitment of all employees to implement government schemes at the committee level. The Federation expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Food Department Smt.
