Minister Verma pays tribute to martyred soldiers on behalf of the state government<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sports, Youth Welfare, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Tankram Verma paid tribute to two martyred India-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) jawans at the Fourth Battalion campus in Mana today on behalf of the Chhattisgarh government. The jawans were killed in a landmine blast that occurred in Narayanpur district on Saturday.
After paying homage to the martyred jawans, Minister Tankram Verma said that our government is working to free the state from Naxalites. Due to the campaign conducted by the Chhattisgarh government against the Naxalites in the last 9 months, the morale of the Naxalites has been broken and they are resorting to such cowardly acts to save their existence.
It is worth noting that in Narayanpur district, an ITBP jawan, Shri Amar Panwar, and Shri K. Rajesh were martyred and two policemen were injured in a landmine blast planted by Naxalites. The martyred jawans were from the 53rd Battalion. Martyr jawan Shri Amar Panwar was from Satara, Maharashtra, and Shri K. Rajesh was from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Their mortal remains have been taken to their native places by a special aircraft.
On the occasion, Verma paid tribute to two ITBP jawans who lost their lives in an IED blast that took place in Narayanpur district. The Minister asserted that the state government is committed to eradicating Naxalism and that the recent increase in anti-Naxal operations has weakened the Naxalites, leading to such cowardly acts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
