Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the works of PHE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructed to take strict action against contractors submitting bogus experience certificates, asked to cancel the tender and take legal action as per rules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raipur, October 4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Arun Sao on Friday conducted a review of the Public Health Engineering Department’s initiatives. During a meeting at Neer Bhawan in Raipur, he emphasized the need to accomplish the works of the Jal Jeevan Mission on mission mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shri Sao prioritized groundwater enrichment efforts to recharge sources for an adequate supply of drinking water in villages. He instructed strict action against contractors who submit bogus experience certificates for the tenders related to 12 group water supply schemes. He called for the cancellation of these tenders and legal action against the violators as per regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the Jal Jeevan Mission in detail and directed a joint meeting with CREDA officials to monitor the parameters of solar pumps being installed. He emphasized the importance of overseeing the third-party inspection agency responsible for the mission’s work, stating that their effectiveness would enhance overall project quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shri Sao proposed organizing a Jal Utsav alongside publicity efforts in villages where Jal Jeevan Mission works have been completed, to encourage other communities to benefit from the scheme. He instructed field staff to regularly visit work sites to monitor progress and quality, urging all officers to stay actively engaged in the field to ensure the mission’s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Mohammad Qaiser Abdulhaq, provided updates on the physical and financial progress of departmental projects. He reported that an action plan is in place until November 15 to ensure groundwater availability for the tap water schemes of the Jal Jeevan Mission, utilizing departmental machinery. The mission’s activities are under continuous component-wise and scheme-wise monitoring to ensure completion by December 2024. Chief Engineer Dr ML Agarwal and Chief Engineers from Raipur, Bilaspur, and Jagdalpur zones were also present at the meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
