World Tuberculosis Day: A Healthy Chhattisgarh Will Be Achieved Through Public Awareness and Participation Against TB – CM Sai

On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has appealed to the people of the state to unite and work towards the eradication of infectious diseases like tuberculosis. He emphasized that TB is not just a disease, but a challenge that hinders social and economic development, and it is something we must fight together.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that tuberculosis, also known as TB, is an infectious disease that primarily affects the lungs and impacts millions of people worldwide. It is crucial to raise awareness about its symptoms, testing, and treatment. For this purpose, World TB Day is observed every year on March 24th to accelerate the global fight against this disease.
He mentioned that the Chhattisgarh government has made effective and affordable healthcare services available in the state to prevent TB. Free testing and treatment for TB are provided in all government hospitals, benefiting all sections of society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appealed to the public that if they experience symptoms like persistent cough, fever, or weight loss, they should immediately get tested. He assured that TB is completely treatable, provided the testing is done on time and medicines are taken regularly. A healthy lifestyle and precautions can prevent the spread of infection.
