Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for senior administrative officers of the state concluded

A one-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence was organized today by the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHIPS) under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology at a private hotel in Raipur. More than 100 officers participated in the workshop including Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, Shri Basava Raju, General Administration Department Secretary Shri Kamal Preet Singh, Technical Education Department Secretary Shri S. Bharatidasan, Energy Department Special Secretary Shri Ankit Anand, N.R.D.A Chief Executive Officer Shri Saurabh Kumar, I.G. Shri Ram Gopal Garg. While inaugurating the program, Mrs. Niharika Singh Barik, Principal Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department said that in this era of rapidly changing technology, information about emerging technology will be given in this workshop to make good governance accessible to the last person of the state.
Mrs. Niharika Singh Barik said that A.I. technology is bringing about change at a faster pace than we think. Many of our problems can be solved quickly with the help of A.I. and it can also be effectively used in government service delivery and policy making. For these reasons, today’s workshop has been organized.
While presenting vote of thanks to all the senior administrative officers present at the conclusion of the first session of the workshop, Shri Prabhat Malik, Chief Executive Officer, CHIPS, said that AI technology can be used to increase efficiency and take quick decisions in governance and administration. The main objective of this event is to promote the appropriate use of technology in government works.
Addressing the workshop, AI expert Dr. Shiva Kakkar, who came from New Delhi, said that the world’s first technology was used in the textile industry. After the year 2022, the AI technology has expanded rapidly throughout the world. Dr. Shiva said that earlier it was believed that the use of technology reduces employment opportunities, but the reality is that more employment is received by new skills through new technology. Giving information about the best use of AI technology in the workshop, Dr. Shiva Kakkar provided detailed information about Chat GPT, Meta, Google Note Book LM and other relevant and useful tools.
While proposing vote of thanks at the conclusion of the workshop, Shri Prabhat Malik, Chief Executive Officer, CHIPS, informed that workshops on various subjects of emerging technology will be organized by CHIPS every month. The departments of the state should select special subjects related to their field of work and inform CHIPS, then the workshop will be organized by CHIPS on that subject as well. On this occasion, CHIPS Chief Executive Officer Shri Kumar Vishwaranjan, Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri Shashank Pandey and Joint Chief Executive Officer Shri Anupam Ashish Toppo were also specially present.
