Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan for Kharif 2025 Preparation in Chhattisgarh from May 29 to June 12

As per the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi, the Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (Developed Agriculture Resolution Campaign) for the year 2025 will be organized from May 29 to June 12, 2025, in all development blocks of the state. This national-level campaign has been launched to strengthen the preparations for the Kharif season 2025, connect farmers with modern and scientific agricultural techniques, and identify innovations happening in fields to determine the direction of research. Joint teams of agriculture and allied departments have been formed for the successful conduct of the campaign in Chhattisgarh state. These teams will reach 2 to 3 identified Gram Panchayats daily and organize scientific discussions with farmers.
Through these discussions, farmers will be provided with information on direct paddy sowing, drone technology, natural farming, new seed varieties, balanced fertilizer use, and schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries operated by the Chhattisgarh government. Scientists from ICAR institutions, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (Agricultural Science Centers), officials from the agriculture department and allied departments, public representatives, and progressive farmers will participate in these events.
During the campaign, direct interaction with farmers will help understand their farming-related problems and gather information about the innovations they are adopting. This information will be helpful in future research, technological development, and planning of schemes.
The progress and effectiveness of this campaign will be monitored by ICAR, NIBSM Raipur. In addition, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and the departments of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries will also play a coordinating role.
The Chhattisgarh government aims for this campaign not only to provide information but also to motivate farmers to cultivate scientifically, thereby increasing production and making agricultural work more profitable. The Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is an important initiative towards the prosperity of farmers and strengthening the state’s agricultural system.
