Vijayadashmi festival inspires us to abandon evil and follow path of truth: CM Sai

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the Ravana Dahan program organized at the Dussehra ground of Shri Dudhdhari Math Ravanabhatha to mark the occasion of Vijayadashmi festival.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the festival of Vijayadashmi inspires us to abandon evil and adopt the path of truth. The Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs 50 lakh for the beautification and arrangement of Ravana Bhatha Dussehra ground.

Before the Ravana Dahan program, Chief Minister Sai participated in the Aarti of Lord Balaji.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the festival of Vijayadashami is the festival of victory of truth over untruth. It is the festival of victory of good over evil. Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya and is the maternal home of Lord Ram. This year Vijayadashami festival is very special because this time Lord Shri Ram has been installed in a grand temple.

Chief Minister Sai said that on the Vijayadashami festival, we need to kill the Ravana of the mind in the form of lust, anger, greed, pride and envy. To establish peace and brotherhood in the world, it is necessary that we kill the Ravana within us. We have to establish Ram-Raj in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while participating in the Vijayadashami festival, announced to provide an amount of Rs 50 lakh for the beautification and arrangement of the Dussehra ground of Shri Dudhdhari Math Ravana Bhata.

MP Brijmohan Agarwal said that this is a 170-year-old Dussehra ground in Ravana Bhata. This is a glorious and grand Dussehra festival which is being organized every year by Doodhdhari Math. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is that we should move forward on the path of development while preserving the old heritage of our country. Navratri festival was celebrated for nine days. We pray to Mother Durga and Lord Shri Ram that they bring happiness in everyone’s life.
