Urban Administration Department sanctions over Rs 3 crore for construction works

The Urban Administration and Development Department of the state government has sanctioned Rs 3 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand for various construction works in Surajpur Municipal Corporation. After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw, the department has issued an order sanctioning funds for 45 infrastructure development works. These include 28 CC road construction, 12 drain construction, 2 CC road widening, and one each yoga shed construction, retaining wall construction, and floodlight installation in various wards of Surajpur Municipal Corporation.
Based on the proposals received from the Chief Municipal Officer of Surajpur Municipal Corporation, the Urban Administration Department has sanctioned this grant of Rs 3 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand from the infrastructure head for the current financial year 2024-25. The department has sanctioned Rs 1 crore 55 lakh 64 thousand for 28 CC road construction works, Rs 83 lakh 42 thousand for 12 drain construction works, and Rs 15 lakh 3 thousand for 2 CC road widening works. Rs 11 lakh 59 thousand has been sanctioned for the construction of a yoga shed in Ward No. 4, Krishna Kunj of Surajpur Municipal Corporation and Rs 22 lakh 71 thousand for the construction of a retaining wall on Krishna Kunj Marg. The department has approved Rs 13 lakh 41 thousand for the installation of floodlights in Ward No. 12.
