Upliftment of tribal community is top priority of Pm Modi: Chief Minister Sai

The upliftment of the tribal community is the topmost priority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He gave the opportunity of the highest post in the country, the President, to a tribal woman, said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Today, the President of the country is a tribal, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh is a tribal, this is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s thinking, he added.
Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas is the motto of our government, said the CM, adding that we will succeed in making Chhattisgarh a developed state under Vision-2047 with your cooperation.
Chief Minister Sai said this while addressing the annual conference of the All India Kanyar Samaj held in Pamshala, Jashpur district.
Chief Minister Sai said that there is a double-engine government in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, people are getting full benefit of both the state government and the central government schemes. In the last one year, we have fulfilled most of the guarantees of Modi ji.
Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the country has started ambitious schemes like PM Janman, Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Yojana for the overall development of the tribal community and connecting them with the mainstream.
He has taken care of every need of tribals in these schemes, from education, health, nutrition, employment to housing. The Chhattisgarh government is rapidly benefiting the tribal community in these schemes. Our government is making every possible effort to bring prosperity and upliftment in the lives of all sections of society along with the tribal community.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a snake park in Farsabahara and making Tapkara a tehsil and leveling the stadium of Pamshala for Rs 20 lakh. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 507 development works costing Rs 87.31 crore 98 thousand. These include the groundbreaking of 483 works costing Rs 85.08 crore and the inauguration of 24 works constructed at a cost of Rs 2.23 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that on the very second day of taking oath, we immediately decided to benefit 18 lakh families of the state from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the first cabinet meeting. We have increased the tendu leaf collection rate from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per standard bag. This has brought a change in the lives of the forest dwellers. He said that we are purchasing paddy in the state as per the guarantee of purchasing paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. We are making immediate payment of the support price to the farmers. As soon as the paddy procurement is completed, the remaining amount will also be deposited in their bank accounts.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said in the program that the tribal Kanyar Samaj is rapidly progressing on the path of development. He said that the society which constantly thinks about its direction and condition, discusses among themselves, removes malpractices, identifies the obstacles to development and makes efforts to remove them, no one can stop that society from progressing. He said that this is also an opportunity to share our achievements and learn from each other’s experiences and inspire each other.
Addressing the program, Smt. Gomati Sai, Chairperson of the Sarguja Tribal Development Authority, announced a grant of Rs 20 lakh for development works for the Kanyar Samaj. In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai released the book ‘Social and Economic Development of Kanyar Tribe’ and ‘Badalta Abujhmaad Aur Anya Kahaniyan’ written by retired IAS officer Shri Maheshwar Sai. Former MP Shri Nandkumar Sai, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai, President of Kanyar Samaj Shri Bharat Sai and many other public representatives and dignitaries were present.
