Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the Guru Darshan Mela program organized at Telasipuri Dham, the work place of Baba Guru Ghasidas ji and the tapobhoomi of Guru Shri Amardas ji, located in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by garlanding and worshiping the photographs of Baba Guru Ghasidas and Guru Amardas ji.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai and Guru Asamdas Saheb were welcomed. Following the demand of local representatives, the Chief Minister announced Rs 3 crore 18 lakh for the development of Telasi Gurudwara Bada, construction of CC road from the main temple to the main road and road from Gaitra Main Road to Bohardih Nala, beautification of Guru Amardas reservoir and construction of building for 50 additional seats in Scheduled Caste Hostel Telasi.

While extending the greetings of Vijayadashami, Chief Minister Sai said that this festival is a symbol of victory of truth and victory of good over evil. On this day, the effigy of Ravana is burnt. But we need to conquer the evils of lust, anger, pride and greed.

He said that Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji appeared in the 18th century to remove untouchability and inequality from the society. He gave the message of Manke-Manke Ek Saman to the world. Our government is working for the upliftment of the last person of the society by following the path shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji.

He said that the basic mantra for the development of society is education. Illiterate people also live in the society but there is a lot of difference between the lives of educated and illiterate. The state and the nation will develop only through an educated society. Our government is continuously fulfilling Modi ji’s guarantee immediately after the formation of the new state government, which includes purchase of paddy at 21 quintal per acre and Rs 3100, payment of outstanding bonus amount to farmers, approval of 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas, Tendu leaf purchase rate increased to Rs 5500 per standard sack. Many public welfare schemes including Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Ramlala Darshan Yojana are being run.

Addressing the gathering, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel said that there is a tradition of Guru Darshan on the day of Vijayadashami in the Satnami community. Satnami community is moving forward taking inspiration from the darshan of the Guru. Society should move forward in the field of education, social workers should awaken the future generation to work in the interest of the society. He said that maximum benefit should be taken of the schemes of the government.

Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma said that the preaching of Baba Guru Ghasidas ji is going to unite the society and bring uniformity. Guru tradition is prevalent in the country. The right path is found from the darshan of the Gurus and only with the right path will the state be happy and prosperous.

The program was also addressed by Supreme Guru Asamdas Saheb Janjgir-Champa MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, Mungeli MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle. Collector Shri Deepak Soni in his welcome speech informed about the works and innovations being done by the district administration.

Brilliant students honored and youth got appointment letters –

In the program, 12 brilliant students of Satnami society were honored and 21 youth were given appointment letters for employment. Along with this, gas connection and ration cards to 2 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and ration cards to 3 beneficiaries, acceptance letters to 10 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman cards to 5 beneficiaries and 10 Lakhpati Didi were honored. On this occasion, Ahiwara MLA Mr. Domanlal Korsevada, former Parliamentary Secretary Dr. Sanam Jangde, Superintendent of Police Mr. Vijay Agarwal, CEO District Panchayat Ms. Divya Agarwal, Rajmahant of Satnami community along with the officers of the community and a large number of devotees were present.
