Under leadership of CM Sai, several schemes are being implemented in the interest of the state’s workers: Labor Minister

Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan, on Friday, transferred ₹318.1 crore through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) to the bank accounts of over 78,000 workers at his residence office in Shankar Nagar.
Under the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, workers and their families in the state are rapidly benefiting from various schemes. Present on the occasion were Additional Labor Commissioner Shri S.L. Jangde, Secretary of the Labor Welfare Board Shri Abhishek Pandey, Deputy Labor Commissioner Shri Paikara, Assistant Labor Commissioner Shri R.K. Pradhan, and several workers.
On this occasion, Labor Minister Shri Devangan stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, many schemes are being implemented for the welfare of the state’s workers, directly benefiting the workers and their families. He further announced that from the upcoming academic session, children of workers will be admitted under the Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Yojana, and the government will bear the expenses. The goal is to ensure that the children of laborers do not remain in labor but pursue education to achieve better opportunities.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had transferred funds to workers’ accounts via DBT during a program organized on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on September 17 in Raipur. Today marks the fifth time funds have been transferred to workers’ accounts. The Chief Minister envisions that the benefits of government schemes should reach workers promptly, and every possible effort is being made by the government to ensure this.
Labor Minister Shri Devangan highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, workers and their families in the state are consistently and rapidly benefiting from various schemes. The effective implementation of these schemes is being carried out through the state’s three labor boards: Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Board, Organized Workers State Social Security Board, and the Labor Welfare Board. As a result, from September 17, 2024, to January 17, 2025, ₹4,300.3 crore has been disbursed to 3,26,000 workers through various schemes.
During the event, scholarships were awarded under the Educational Scholarship Scheme, including ₹15,000 each to Mukul Kumar Sahu, Pallavi Verma, and Mukesh Tiwari, and ₹3,000 to Gaurav Devangan. Under the Free Bicycle Distribution Scheme, Priyanka Francis received ₹3,706, while Mangli Kothale received ₹1 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Construction Worker Death and Disability Assistance Scheme. Additionally, Khiro Nayak was provided ₹20,000 under the Mukhyamantri Noni Sasaktikaran Shahayata Yojana.
