Treatment of Padma Vibhushan Teejan Bai starts at AIIMS on initiative of CM Sai

The treatment of Teejan Bai, the identity of Chhattisgarh and awarded the second highest civilian honor of the country, Padma Vibhushan, has started at AIIMS.
As soon as Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai got the information about Teejan Bai’s illness, he instructed the Health Department to make arrangements for her proper and better treatment.
In the same sequence, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also met Teejan Bai to inquire about her health and also provided financial assistance of five lakh rupees. During this, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal had instructed the Health Department to provide a motorized remote control automatic bed, bed table, and wheelchair at Teejan Bai’s home.
Following the instructions, the Health Department has provided these essential items for Teejan Bai. Along with this, a medical officer and a physiotherapist have also been appointed to look after Teejan Bai. A team of doctors checks her health at her home once a day and prepares a medical report.
It is noteworthy that Smt. Teejan Bai, who has been awarded the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan awards, has illuminated the name of Chhattisgarh in the country and abroad through Pandwani. Teejan Bai is truly the identity of Chhattisgarh. In this regard, the state government is also leaving no stone unturned in taking care of Teejan Bai. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai himself keeps taking information about Teejan Bai’s health and as his representative, he has given full responsibility to Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal to take care of Teejan Bai.
