In Jammu & Kashmir, three terrorists including a commander of terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen killed during overnight cordon-and-search operation in the Redbugh area of Magam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The killed terrorists have been identified as Javaid Sheikh of Khirpora Beerwah Budgam, Aqib Gul and commander Dawood of Mustafabad Zainakote area in Srinagar outskirts. Some arms and ammunition including one SLR and a pistol was also recovered from the encounter site.
The cordon and search operation was launched in the area late last evening. Sources said the locals had resorted to stone pelting protests for around an hour last evening to help terrorists escape the spot but later the protesters were chased away.
